Many years ago when I was a teenager, my parents and I took a trip from Florida to California to see my brother who was in the Marines.  On our way home, my dad came up with an idea for a side trip, to Las Vegas.  My best friend had moved there two years before, and I missed her so much.  So he thought, he'd take me to see her and he could take my mom to the Las Vegas casinos and hotels on the strip.  I got to spend six hours with my friend while they went and saw the strip, visiting Las Vegas casinos and hotels.  When we were leaving they told me that we were stopping at one Las Vegas casino, The Mirage, because it was so cool that they wanted me to see it.  The outdoor volcanos, the white tigers inside and all the showgirls walking around, it was so amazing to me as a teenager.  I was in awe of this Las Vegas casino.  I'm so glad my dad decided to take us to Las Vegas and have that experience.
